REPRODUCTION OF CUSTOM WOOD WINDOW SASH FOR HISTORIC RESTORATION
Weston Millwork Company carries no stock items dedicating itself completely to the custom reproduction of original historic historic millwork. Here are some recent samples of custom wood window sash. In all cases, the original work has been exactly duplicated in every detail. The joinery and craftsmanship of the original millwork helped it to last a century or more. Weston Millwork is proud to have furnished the windows for this handsome set of bays in this recently restored commercial building. The bay windows get the attention but Weston made sure that every replacement was up to original specifications.
1890's house in Westport, Connecticut. The double hung window unit was made from QS White Oak, except for the outside casing. The 1-5/8" sashes were glazed with plate glass with detailing to match the original sashes in the house. Detail shows new brass pulley installation.
The diagonal muntins in this window will remain stable because care was taken to faithfully reproduce the craftsmanship of the original joinery.
This fifteen light is part of a short run of window sash for a historic Greek Revival from the early nineteenth century.
