Reproduction Wood Window Sash

Weston Millwork Company has been building historic reproduction sash for over 25 years.  We specialize in making wood sash for replacements into existing window frames.  This means that if only one sash needs to be replaced, there is no need to replace the entire window.  We have the capability to reproduce standard 1-3/8" and 1-1/8" sash at a faster turn-arond time as well as lower cost compared to custom-made sash, as we are always set up to produce these items and no tooling or set-up charges are required.

WMCO makes Wood Double Hung Sash, Segment and Circle Head, Gothic Head, and Marginal Light Sash. We make plain-rail, check-rail, and casement sash.  Single or divided light.  Choice of 9/16" or 3/4" (or 1-1/4" for Victorian 2-light sash) sash bar width for standard 1-1/8" and 1-3/8" sash.  Many sticking profiles are available, as is the capability of producing custom sticking profiles.  Any sash thickness is possible.  Standard thicknesses are 1-1/8", 1-3/8", and 1-3/4".  IMPORTANT NOTE:  Only STANDARD sash thicknesses of 1-1/8: and 1-3/8" with standard ogee sticking profile #105 can be produced relatively quickly (depending on current schedule) as dedicated machines are already set-up.   Other sash thicknesses and profiles require special set-ups and possibly special tooling, resulting in much longer lead times and higher cost.

All sash are make of solid (NOT finger-jointed) stock with time-tested mortise-and-tenon joinery like the originals.  Any other type of joinery is inferior and not acceptable for work that is subject to exposure.

We are not currently making window frames due to the very high demand for sash at the present time.

The joinery and craftsmanship of the original millwork helped it to last a century or more.  Original craftsmanship and attention to detail is what makes millwork from WMCO a lasting value.
