Snyder Tudor Door
Leavenworth, Kansas
An Almost-exact Reproduction of a 1920s Tudor Front Door
The home was originally constructed in the 1870s in the "Steamboat Gothic" style. In the 1920s, it was extensively modernized into the English Tudor that appears today. The Front Door had deteriorated due to its extreme exposure. The replacement door was Identical to the original in all respects with the exception that the original assymetrical 4-light window was replaced with a centered 6-light window at the request of the homeowner. The Sugar-pine door is 1-7/8" in thickness with flat panels and applied moulding that are faithfully reproduced from the originals.
