Snyder 12-light window

Identical replication Sash and Frame for 1840s Federal-style house
This project was a replication of an original 1840s window frame and sash for an historic home in Kansas City, Missouri. The original window had been removed and the opening bricked closed for a previous alteration. The present owners supplied one of the original windows as a pattern for duplicating the size, proportion, joinery details, and sash sticking of the old window, which is located adjacent to the new window. The new plank-frame and sash are made of sugar pine . The sash have glued-and-pegged mortise and tenon joints and are glazed with antique cylinder glass from a salvage glass supplier in Massachutsetts.
