Reproduction Shutters and Blinds
Weston Millwork Company specializes in exact copies of your original blinds and shutters. Using our Festo blind-slat grooving machine we can replicate any louver spacing, width, thickness, and angle. WMCO can match a single louvered blind to your original, elimating the need to replace an entire house in order to have the blinds match. The machine mortises a pair of blind stiles at the same time. The stiles mortised in this manner produce work that is far superior to the butt-jointed slats utilizing cheap plastic pins that are commonly found on low-quality wood blinds today.
If you have wood blinds that are falling apart after only five to ten years, this is a result of inferior design and construction. This will not happen with blinds built by Weston Millwork Company. We utilize the same mortise and tenon construction that was used by manufacturers 100 years ago, when blinds were a functional part of the window and had to stand up to slamming open and closed by the wind.
We can also reproduce shutters with flat or raised panels, with either through or blind mortise and tenon joinery.
